We Invite You to a Presentation of the New Book ‘The Story of BATUN’

21.11.2018.

We invite you to a presentation of the recently published book "The Story of BATUN", by Estonian artist Sirje Okas Ainso. The presentation will be on Thursday, 22 November, at 16.00 at the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia, at Raina Boulevard 7 in Riga.

BATUN (Baltic Appeal to United Nations) was one of the most influential Baltic Exile organisations with the aim of regaining independence for the occupied Baltic States. BATUN worked for the independence of the Baltic States from the mid-1960s until the restoration of independence of the Baltic States in autumn 1991 and the accession of the Baltic States to the United Nations on 17 September 1991. The book portrays BATUN's 25-year history.

The book will be presented by the author. The event will be held in English.
