A Monument to Freedom will be unveiled in October 2018 in Zedelgem, a town in Belgium where during the Second World War the British held around 12,000 Latvian soldiers. The Municipality of Zedelgem and the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia Association are cooperating to build this commemorative monument and the opening event has been included in the “Latvia-100” calendar of events.
