The Iranian Foreign Minister visits the Museum
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Mohammad Javad Zarif visited the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia on Thursday, 2 June together with his delegation. The Minister was pleased to note that the Iranian flag was depicted in the section of the exposition listing some of the countries that had not recognized the incorporation of Latvia in the USSR. He mentioned that Iran was among the first countries to recognize Latvia’s renewed independence in 1991. His Excellency wrote in the Guest Book „To all Latvians who fought for their rights and for their self-determination“.
