The Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana visits the Museum

17.06.2024.

On 17 June — Occupation of the Republic of Latvia Day — the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia was visited by Madam Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Botswana to the Republic of Latvia Juliana Angela Dube-Gobotswang.

The distinguished guest and her accompanying delegation were welcomed to the Museum by its director, Solvita Vība, and the guide, Ineta Lansdovne, who introduced them to the exposition.

The Ambassador was especially moved by stories of people imprisoned in GULAG camps, where, despite the dire conditions, they did not lose their faith in God, their good spirit and will, and their compassion for those closest to them.
