Another attack on the Museum

27.06.2024.

On June 26, at about 4.30 PM, a woman in a state of possible alcoholic intoxication partly tore off 3 of the 8 large photographs of the photo exhibition "Portraits of the War: two years of bravery, two years of sacrifice" placed on the windows of Museum of the Occupation of Latvia in the Old Town of Riga.

The photo exhibition was opened this year on February 24 – the day of commemoration of Russia's full invasion of Ukraine. It was prepared by the Press Service of the National Guard of Ukraine and its photographers in cooperation with the Polonsky Family Foundation.

The State Police will initiate criminal proceedings against the person suspected of the crime. This was just another attack on the Museum this year.
